MassageTherapyLife.com was created by an experienced licensed massage therapist. Let me explain how massage has had an amazing positive impact on my life. Here on the site, you’ll find tons of great massage therapy resources and helpful information to get you started on your personal journey of life enriched by the healing power of massage.

My Story
I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for several years in Oregon. Since I began working as a therapist, I’ve been working at a spa in the beautiful city of Portland, where I have an established clientele. In addition, I sometimes do appointments (outcalls) for friends and family. My reasoning and inspiration for choosing this career is because of my grandmother Mimie. Have you ever known someone that inspires you to become a better person? She did that for me, because she always made sure I was doing well in life. Her smile is angelic, and her spirit is special. She became ill 10 years ago, and passed away November of 2001. Cancer took her life, but her kindness and strength embodied my soul. I wish I could have healed her with my own hands, because she deserved to live a longer life. She meant the world to me, because her love and energy was always positive from the moment I knew who she was. I try to share that with everyone that I connect with on a meditative and spiritual level. Mimie was my inspiration, and I share that foundation of positive, caring energy in each and every massage. Through my massage career, I now have the opportunity to reach out to people and provide healing therapeautic touch.

My Massage Philosophy
Words can say a lot, but touch is something much more personal.A massage therapist needs to be an honest, trusting, and confident person, as well as an intuitive individual. Everyone has their own boundaries, so having great communication with the client will better your session. Always remember to ask your client if they have any questions, because you never know what’s going on in someone’s mind.Listening is one great way you can ensure a comfortable and happy massage experience for your client. Listening to each client will better your chances of striving for what that individual client wants, and listening internally to your own intuition will allow you to sense what your client needs. Creating a flow from the beginning to the end will bring each client into a dream-like state of euphoria! And, that healing, relaxed state of mind is one of the greatest feelings and benefits of a good massage.
